Unauthenticated database access via concatenated login input
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Jan 7, 2025
SQL injection in Code Projects Online Book Shop 1.0 allows remote attackers to access database contents through the login endpoint. The process_login.php handler inserts the POST usernm value between quotes in a SELECT statement and passes the resulting string directly to mysqli_query without validation or parameterization. The vulnerable handler is reached remotely at the login interface without user interaction; crafted input can expose database contents or permit unauthorized application access.
