Database compromise via unsanitized subcatid query
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
SQL injection in booklist.php in Code Projects Online Book Shop 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read and alter database data. The handler copies the subcatid query parameter into a quoted SQL predicate and executes it without validation, sanitization, or parameter binding. A valid application session and a crafted subcatid request are required; successful exploitation can enumerate the database and obtain an OS shell.
