Browsing-session disclosure via search-widget lock bypass
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
Authentication bypass in Mozilla Firefox Focus for Android before 134 allows physically proximate attackers to access a locked browsing session. A timing sequence that opens the search widget, returns home, and immediately launches Focus skips the enabled fingerprint-unlock gate. The opt-in lock must be enabled and the attacker must control the device interface; successful exploitation exposes browser history and open tabs without authentication.
