Printing interruption via curve-segmentation out-of-bounds write
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
Out-of-bounds writes in Canon Generic V4 printer drivers 2.1 and earlier allow remote attackers to interrupt printing via crafted XPS files. The curve-segmentation routine writes beyond an intended buffer while processing malformed curve data in an XPS document. No authentication or user interaction is required, but the bounded reported effect is failure to print the crafted document without data exposure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
