Script execution via unrestricted Add-field markup
Published Jan 5, 2025 · Updated Jan 6, 2025
Stored XSS in Code Projects Local Storage Todo App 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through the Add field. The Add handling in /js-todo-app/index.html renders the submitted task value without restricting executable markup, so an img onerror payload runs in the page. Exploitation requires administrative access and user interaction; successful script execution exposes or alters data available to the affected browser session.
