System crash via malformed driver IOCTL request
Published Jan 5, 2025 · Updated Jan 6, 2025
Null pointer dereference in IObit Protected Folder 13.6.0.0 through 13.6.0.5 allows local users to crash the system. The IUProcessFilter.sys IOCTL handler dereferences a null pointer when processing crafted requests to control codes 0x8001E000 or 0x8001E004. Low-privileged local access is required, and successful exploitation interrupts availability by crashing the Windows host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
