CVE-2025-0218

Scheduled-job denial via predictable temporary directory

Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Predictable temporary-directory generation in pgAgent before 4.2.3 allows local users to interrupt scheduled batch jobs. Job::Execute combines job and step identifiers with a seven-character generateRandomString value, then aborts the batch step if the resulting directory already exists. A local user with write access to the shared temporary directory can pre-create the predicted path, blocking job scripts and disrupting scheduled tasks.
