CVE-2025-0217Public exploit

Privileged session takeover via exposed SSH arguments

Published May 5, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Authentication bypass in BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access before 25.1 allows local users to take over active ShellJump sessions. The Desktop Access Console places a randomized tunnel username and port in an SSH process command line, which another local account can read and replay. Exploitation requires an authenticated account on the same macOS or Linux client, an active external-tool session, and process-list visibility.
