Data disclosure and memory exhaustion via XXE
Published Mar 7, 2025 · Updated Sep 1, 2025
XXE in Stats Collector XML parsing in IBM Aspera Shares 1.9.9 through 1.10.0 PL7 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive data. The Stats Collector XML parser resolves external entities from attacker-supplied XML instead of blocking external-resource access. A valid account and crafted XML are required; successful requests expose server-accessible information or consume memory until service availability degrades.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
