CVE-2025-0160Network attack vector

Arbitrary Java code execution via insufficient RPCAdapter restrictions

Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Feb 28, 2025

Process control in the RPCAdapter service in IBM Storage Virtualize allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary Java code over the network. The service applies insufficient restrictions to attacker-controlled requests, but IBM has not disclosed the affected method or data flow into Java execution. Network access to the management GUI is required; successful exploitation runs code with the service's authority and can compromise system data and availability.
