CVE-2025-0135

Local client disablement via incorrect privilege assignment

Published May 14, 2025 · Updated May 14, 2025

Incorrect privilege assignment in Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect App 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, and 6.3 on macOS allows local users to disable the app. Palo Alto Networks has not disclosed which macOS component or privilege check permits the unauthorized disable action. A non-administrative local account and no special configuration are sufficient, and successful exploitation stops the client from providing its intended protection.
