Credential theft via reflected portal script execution
Published May 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Reflected XSS in affected PAN-OS, Cloud NGFW, and Prisma Access deployments allows remote attackers to execute scripts via crafted links. Palo Alto Networks identifies the GlobalProtect gateway and portal response path but has not disclosed the input field or output-encoding failure that reflects untrusted content. Exploitation requires an authenticated Captive Portal user to follow the link; it enables credential-phishing content, with limited confidentiality impact only when Clientless VPN is enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
