Firewall reboots via malformed SCEP packets
Published Apr 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 11, 2025
Denial of service in PAN-OS SCEP authentication allows remote attackers to reboot affected firewalls with a crafted packet. Palo Alto Networks identifies packet processing in the SCEP authentication feature as the locus but has not disclosed the exceptional condition mishandled. No explicit SCEP configuration is required; repeated packets force maintenance mode, while Prisma Access requires remote authenticated users.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
