CVE-2025-0126Network attack vector

User impersonation via fixed GlobalProtect SAML sessions

Published Apr 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 11, 2025

Session fixation in the GlobalProtect SAML login for PAN-OS and Prisma Access allows remote attackers to impersonate authorized users. Palo Alto Networks has not disclosed how the login binds a SAML response to a preauthentication session, so the precise faulty operation is unknown. Exploitation requires a GlobalProtect portal configured for SAML authentication and an authorized user to follow a malicious link, after which the attacker can act with that user's GlobalProtect access.
