CVE-2025-0116

Firewall reboot via crafted LLDP frame

Published Mar 12, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025

Denial of service in affected Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS releases allows attackers to reboot a firewall via a crafted LLDP frame. The LLDP receive path improperly handles an exceptional condition in the frame, although the vendor has not disclosed the triggering field or code-level operation. Exposure requires LLDP globally and on an interface using receive-only or transmit-receive mode; repeated frames place the firewall into maintenance mode.
