Command injection in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS OpenConfig Plugin before 2.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to run commands as root. The gNMI logging subscription passes shell substitution from its type parameter to Bash and treats the command output as the requested type. Exploitation requires the plugin to be enabled and administrator credentials able to access the management interface.
