CVE-2025-0087

Cross-profile app removal via permissive profile validation

Published Sep 4, 2025 · Updated Sep 4, 2025

Privilege escalation in Google Android 13 through 15 allows local users to uninstall an app belonging to another user profile. UninstallerActivity.onCreate treats any profile returned by getUserProfiles as an authorized target instead of verifying that the current user owns the child profile. A locally launched uninstall request requires no additional execution privileges or user interaction and can remove another profile's app.
