CVE-2025-0086

Local auth-token disclosure via unchecked account type

Published Aug 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Information disclosure in Android Framework 12, 12L, 13, 14, and 15 allows local users to obtain another account's auth token. AccountManagerService's onResult handler trusted the account type returned by AbstractAccountAuthenticator and saved the token without confirming it matched the requested type. Exploitation requires local code able to act through an authenticator, needs no additional execution privileges or user interaction, and exposes authentication data without reported integrity or availability impact.
