CVE-2025-0073

Kernel code execution via stale queue mappings

Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025

Use-after-free in Arm Valhall and 5th Gen GPU Kernel Drivers r53p0 allows local users to execute arbitrary kernel code. When a kbase_queue_group terminates, kbase_csf_term_descheduled_queue_group frees its user I/O pages but leaves their user-space mappings intact. A local non-privileged process with CSG_CS_USER_PAGE_ALLOCATION access can reuse the stale mappings to access freed GPU memory and escalate privileges.
