Stored XSS via executable report cell content
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Stored XSS in Web Intelligence in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform allows remote attackers to run scripts in a victim's browser. The HTML viewer interprets JavaScript embedded in report cells when CMC display settings authorize script or HTML execution, causing stored code to run whenever the report is opened. An administrator must enable script or HTML execution, and a victim must open the crafted report; impact is limited to browser-scope data access and modification.
