Sensitive input disclosure via local history storage
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
Information disclosure in SAP GUI for Windows 8.0 allows local users to read stored transaction input from a victim's user directory. The client history feature persists field input in the user's SAP GUI History directory rather than keeping transaction data solely in memory. Administrative privileges or direct access to that directory are required, and the exposed contents can include highly sensitive transaction data.
