Local user-to-kernel privilege escalation
Published Nov 24, 2025 · Updated Nov 24, 2025
Insufficient validation in AMD Xilinx Runtime (XRT) before 2025.1 allows local users to escalate privileges from user space to kernel space. AMD identifies the affected area only as the XRT framework and does not disclose the validation locus or the untrusted value that is accepted. Exploitation requires low local privileges and user interaction, after which kernel-space execution can expose or alter data and interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
