Authentication bypass in Progress WS_FTP Server before 8.8.9 allows remote authenticated users to log in without a second factor. The Web Transfer Module accepts a valid username and password without completing the configured second-factor verification step. A user already holding high-privilege credentials can access the account despite its multi-factor requirement, exposing account data and permitted actions without interrupting service.
