Administrator access via empty OTA token
Published Oct 26, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in WatchTowerHQ 3.10.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain WordPress administrator access via a crafted request. Password_Less_Access::login accepts an empty watchtower_ota_token because it compares the request with an empty default without first rejecting empty input. No account or user interaction is required; a wht_login request creates an administrator session with full site access.
