Unauthenticated command execution via prefix allowlist bypass
Published Oct 13, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
OS command injection in UsualTool UTCMS V9 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary operating-system commands through parameter o. The unauthenticated cli.php endpoint accepts o by POST and passes values beginning with cd, php, nohup, or composer to command execution without neutralizing shell syntax. A network-reachable installation is enough; a nohup-prefixed payload bypasses the prefix filter and executes with the web-server process's privileges.
