Authenticated router crash via oversized curTime parameter
Published Oct 13, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
Buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-619L B1 2.06 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via a crafted curTime value. The formSetMACFilter POST handler processes the curTime argument without enforcing the destination buffer's length, causing a stack-memory overwrite. Exploitation requires an authenticated web-management session from an adjacent network, and the demonstrated consequence is interruption of routing service.
