Stored script execution via unsanitized redirect URL
Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Element Invader's ElementInvader Addons for Elementor 1.2.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The contact form widget accepts a contributor-controlled redirect URL without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, causing the value to render as executable page content. Contributor-level access is required, and the script executes in the visitor's browser context when another user opens the injected page.
