Stored XSS via unrestricted heading tag
Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
Stored XSS in Pods – Custom Content Types and Fields before 3.2.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via heading settings. The heading field renderer used the stored Heading HTML Tag setting directly as an element name instead of restricting it to safe heading tags. Administrator-level access and a multisite installation or disabled unfiltered_html capability are required; the script runs when an administrator or editor views the affected user profile.
