Database disclosure via unescaped event-search parameter
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025
SQL injection in Melapress File Monitor before 2.1.1 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to read database data. The mfm_event_lookup AJAX action places the lookup_target search value into an insufficiently prepared SQL query, as a time-delay payload in the file-events search demonstrates. A valid administrator session and action nonce are required; successful injection can extract database information but does not establish code execution.
