Authenticated administrator access via improper HMI validation
Published Apr 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Privilege escalation in ABB ANC, ANC-L, and ANC-mini 1.1.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain device-admin access. The web HMI server improperly validates access to an administrative page, letting a non-administrative account perform every action reserved for an administrator. Exploitation requires local-network access and an existing non-administrative account; successful access grants control of the appliance without a reported availability impact.
