Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode margin attribute
Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Stored XSS in AndroidBubbles RSS Feed Widget before 3.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted shortcode. The rfw-youtube-videos renderer places the margin attribute into page markup without validation or escaping, allowing an injected onmouseover handler. The demonstrated path requires configured YouTube-box settings, contributor-level publication rights, and a visitor who moves a pointer over the published box.
