CVE-2024-9826

Code execution via invalid 3DM object use

Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025

Use-after-free in atf_api.dll in Autodesk affected applications 2022 through 2025 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted 3DM file. The 3DM parser performs operations on an object without first validating that the object still exists, leaving freed memory accessible. Exploitation requires a Windows user to open the file or visit a malicious page; successful use runs code in the current process and can also crash it or write sensitive data.
