CVE-2024-9793Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Pre-auth command execution via unchecked ATE arguments

Published Oct 10, 2024 · Updated Oct 10, 2024

OS command injection in Tenda AC1206 firmware 15.03.06.23 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands through /goform/ate. A request to /goform/ate starts an ATE UDP listener on port 7329; ate_ifconfig_set accepts unchecked arguments, while ate_iwpriv_set passes attacker input to iwpriv_wlan_set for direct execution. No authentication is required, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary device commands with the firmware service's privileges.
