Stored XSS via unescaped administrator settings
Published Dec 6, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Total Soft Video Gallery 2.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through administrator settings. The settings path stores input without sufficient sanitization and later renders it without sufficient output escaping; public sources do not identify the exact field or function. Administrator access is required, and exposure is limited to WordPress multisite deployments or sites with unfiltered_html disabled; opening an affected page executes the stored script in a visitor's browser.
