CVE-2024-9759

Information disclosure via GIF buffer over-read

Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 23, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Tungsten Automation Power PDF 5.0.0.10.0.23307 allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information via a GIF file. The GIF parser fails to validate user-supplied file data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; the direct result is sensitive-information disclosure, while code execution requires another flaw.
