Information disclosure via unchecked PDF parser read
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 23, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Power PDF before 5.1 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory through a crafted PDF file. The PDF parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading an allocated object, causing a read beyond the object's end. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the file; the resulting disclosure can support a separate code-execution chain.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
