Code execution via malformed SKP file parsing
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
Memory corruption in Trimble SketchUp Viewer 22.0.316.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted SKP file. The SKP parser fails to validate user-supplied data before memory operations, producing a memory-corruption condition in the current process. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the file, and successful exploitation runs code with the current process's privileges.
