CVE-2024-9689Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary post deletion via missing CSRF check

Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Shaon Post From Frontend 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary posts via a forged request. The front-end deletion handler accepts task=delete and an attacker-chosen postid in a GET request without validating a CSRF nonce before deleting the selected post. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open the crafted link; the demonstrated consequence is deletion of the referenced post.
