Reflected XSS via unescaped add_query_arg URL
Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Castos Seriously Simple Podcasting 3.5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through crafted URLs. The options handler passes an add_query_arg-generated URL to page output without applying the escaping required for an HTML URL context. Execution requires a user to follow a crafted link; the script then runs in the affected site's origin and can read or alter browser-accessible content.
