Reflected XSS via unescaped referer output
Published Nov 23, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Checkout with Cash App on WooCommerce 6.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts via crafted links. The Square integration class reads _wp_http_referer from the request and emits it into HTML without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a victim to follow an attacker-crafted link, after which the script runs in the victim's browser and can act within that session.
