Information disclosure in affected GitLab EE releases allows remote attackers to read the instance version from public page source. The sidebar helper passes version data to the client without applying the authorization check used when rendering the Help menu item. The leak is present by default for anonymous visitors in affected branches and exposes only release information that can guide later targeting.
