Subscriber-level site-owner impersonation via unchecked AJAX handler
Published Oct 23, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in RebelCode WP RSS Aggregator 4.23.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to send forged support requests. The wprss_ajax_send_premium_support AJAX handler accepts attacker-controlled subject and email fields and submits the request without checking the caller's WordPress capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to impersonate the site owner to premium support and disclose license information.
