Privilege escalation via crafted block file inclusion
Published Oct 9, 2024 · Updated Jan 9, 2025
Local file inclusion in pretix GmbH pretix widget 1.0.0 through 1.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to include PHP files on Windows. Rendering a crafted invalid block state supplies PHP inclusion with a traversal path that is not confined to the plugin's intended files. The attacker needs permission to edit pages or posts; the vendor reproduced traversal only on Windows and identifies application privilege escalation as the consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
