Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked webpage copy
Published Oct 6, 2024 · Updated Oct 7, 2024
Buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-605L 2.13B01 BETA allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted webpage parameter. The formWlanSetup handler at /goform/formWlanSetup copies the user-controlled webpage value without checking its length, overflowing a destination buffer. Authenticated access to the router's web configuration is required, and malformed input corrupts memory within the routing appliance.
