Unauthenticated password reset via user-controlled account key
Published Oct 6, 2024 · Updated Oct 7, 2024
Authorization bypass in Sovell Smart Canteen System 3.0.7303.30513 allows remote attackers to reset another user's password. The Check_ET_CheckPwdz201 function in suanfa.py accepts a user-controlled account key and performs the reset without validating authorization for the selected account. No prior privileges or user interaction are required, but exploitation has high complexity and is limited to unauthorized password changes.
