Authenticated code execution via unchecked webpage copy
Published Oct 6, 2024 · Updated Oct 7, 2024
Buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-605L 2.13B01 BETA allows remote authenticated users to crash the router or execute code via crafted webpage input. The formSetWanL2TP handler at /goform/formSetWanL2TP copies the attacker-controlled webpage parameter without validating its length. Access to the WAN L2TP configuration handler is required; successful exploitation overwrites process memory, resulting in a router crash or code execution.
