Remote memory corruption via unbounded curTime sprintf
Published Oct 4, 2024 · Updated Oct 4, 2024
Buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-605L 2.13B01 BETA allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted curTime parameter. The /goform/formSetQoS handler passes the POST-supplied curTime value through sprintf into the Var buffer without enforcing a length bound. Access requires an authenticated router-management session; the public proof of concept supplies 2,000 characters, but no reliable post-corruption consequence is documented.
