Memory corruption via unbounded curTime formatting
Published Oct 4, 2024 · Updated Oct 4, 2024
Buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-605L 2.13B01 BETA allows remote authenticated users to corrupt router memory via curTime. The formSetDomainFilter handler passes the attacker-controlled POST value to sprintf without bounding the write into v12. Low-privileged management access is required; the public proof of concept demonstrates the triggering request but not code execution.
