Stored XSS via unescaped Button link attributes
Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Beaver Builder Page Builder 2.8.4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through Button links. The Button widget stores user-supplied link attributes without sufficient sanitization and emits them into page markup without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to place the payload; the script runs when a visitor opens the injected page, enabling actions or data access in that visitor's browser context.
