DLL hijacking in Silicon Labs USBXpress 4 SDK 4.0.3 and earlier allows local users to execute code through the Windows installer. The installer resolves a required DLL through an uncontrolled search-path element and loads an attacker-supplied library instead of the intended code. Exploitation requires a user to run the impacted installer; the loaded code executes with the installer's privileges, enabling privilege escalation.
